We’re participating in BlogFest 2010. Readers, take heed, more than 200 book blogs are hosting giveaways through the weekend, and you best get in on the action. First, you’ll want to enter our giveaway for the first three Vampire Babylon books (details to follow). You can see all the blog participants, prizes and even enter a super grand prize contest by checking out the BlogFest HQ at A Journey of Books.
A real quick hello to those visiting our blog for the first time. Vampire Book Club, despite the name, covers most urban fantasy, paranormal romance and fantasy — both adult and YA. We’d love for you to join us in our group read of City of Bones by Cassandra Clare this month. But, if you’re just here for the contest, let’s move forward!
Chris Marie Green writes in three novel story arcs, which means you’re going to get a complete story by reading the first three books in her Vampire Babylon series. The urban fantasy series does get steamy, so paranormal romance fans will certainly enjoy. (Chris Marie Green also writes romance under the name Crystal Green.)
Not familiar with the Vampire Babylon series? Here’s what you’re getting into: old hollywood stars returning as vampires, supernatural private investigators, secret underworld filled with mystery and a heroine discovering more about her past and just who she really is.
One winner will receive (click titles to view descriptions on Book Depository):
CONTEST RULES & DETAILS
Now that the legal stuff is out of the way. Enter, comment and hope you win books by Chris Marie Green!
For those following BlogFest 2010, the next blog on the list is one we like quite a bit: Supernatural Snark. Jenny loves speculative fiction just like we do and she’s witty to boot!
I would love to be immortal, as long as my loved ones could be too. If not i would have to say no.
Thanks for the giveaway, and for participating in BlogFest 2010!

My BlogFest Giveaway
I don’t want to be an immortal because I will have to mourn the death of all my beloved ones eventually.
I would not want to be immortal. You will eventually lose everyone you love, and I think eventually you’d become so jaded you’d see nothing but the ugly in the world.
Thanks for the opportunity 🙂

Don’t think I’d be able to live life as an immortal. I think I’d evenually become bored with all the things in life or maybe become lonely, unless I have someone to be immortal with me XD
Yes, I’d love to be immortal, I know that I’d lose loved ones and see some horrible things, but I’m terrified of dying and I’m never going to experience everything the world has to offer in my short lifetime, so gimmie immortality anyday.
no, i don’t want to be immortal because i have already lost some amazing people in my life who i hope to see again some day.
I think I would. The opportunity to learn and travel and experience new things would be irresitable.
I would like to be immortal, but I wouldn’t want to be unless there was a love one with me. I would think that it would be very lonely.
Heck yes I would love to be immortal! Well, if my man could get undead with me… and it didn’t go against my wonderful religion 😉
Great giveaway!

As long as I had at least one person who was immortal with me, then possibly. Great giveaway! I’ve been wanting to read this series.
I don’t know about immortal. Living forever would seem to take a bit of the sprakle out of life. I would love to live for a long time though. 150 years or so would do. ;P
Yes, I think I would want to be immortal. Death is sad, but if you live even a naturally long life, you experience a lot of death, and being immortal, you don’t have to be afraid of your own death. That’s one less death to fear.
I think would like to be immortal as long as I had the ability to make the people I loved immortal as well. I wouldn’t want to outlive my children.
Enter me.
I would want to be immortal so I didn’t have to die.

I would love to be immortal!
Why ??? steamy sex lol
You can do that while as a mortal, too, you know. 😉
I would not want to be immortal because then I would have to watch all the people I love die.

I would love to be immortal if my family and friends are too!!

Ok I would hate to immortal. It would be, like, a curse. You’d see all your loved ones die, and it would literally be HELL! And if you’re careful, you’d see the world end. Talk about Hell times 2/ And if it’s normal Immortality, then you wouldnt go to Heaven or Hell and thus never see your loved ones again Period. End of story…:D
I would only want to be immortal if my loved ones could to and than I’d want to travel Everywhere!

Thanks for the giveaway:-)
I would like to be immortal but only in heaven lol

it would all depend on how I could spend my immortality…I’d hate to watch my loved ones leave me though.
I would love to be immortal. There’s so much I want to see and do, one lifetime is not enough! Artesia at comcast dot net
Sure! Then I might have time to read all of my books!

Once Upon A Chapter
I wouldn’t want to be immortal. I think it would be hard to watch some much time go by.
Hmm, would I want to be immortal, that’s a hard one because I am torn, but I guess in the end I would have to say no because to me life and death is a part of life and we have to make room for the future generation.

I’d only want to be immortal if my family and friends were too.
If my family wasn’t immortal I wouldn’t want to be either. I’d probably get sick of human nature after awhile and become a hermit if I was immortal, and who wants to live life in a cave in the mountains?
No, I don’t want to be immortal. I think there’s a reason we die and we’ll understand after it happens.
No, I would not want to be immortal and watch as all my loved ones died while I lived on. It would be horrible.
I don’t want to be immortal–life is what you make of it and when it’s over the trip will have been worth it. 🙂
Unless my family was immortals, too I don’t think I’d want to be one.
Thanks for the fabulous giveaway. I follow on GFC.

I don’t have to be immortal – I would just love some awesome powers!
Thanks
I would love to be immortal with other immortals. It would be hard to watch my family die off.

I’m ambivalent about immortality for myself. On the one hand, it would allow me to do SOOO many things because time would be less of a factor. On the other hand, it’d be very hard to constantly lose mortal loved ones.
I would only want to be immortal if the one I love is with me as well.
I would want to be immortal because its something I know I can’t have. I would miss the people around me that die but I would also travel a lot and meet new people. Hopefully have another immortal to live forever with =) Thanks for the contest!

I’m not sure I would want to be immortal. While, on one hand, it would be nice to be able to learn so much more, I wouldn’t want to leave behind so many people constantly.
(note: I am a follower, but via email)
Immortal just to see the times change :). Maybe for the powers too.
Wow! What great prizes! Too bad I live in New Zealand, I would have loved to enter! Lol.
Good luck to all.
Great books!
