Deadshifted by Cassie Alexander (Edie Spence #4)Can I tell you guys how excited I am for this year’s Alpha Showdown? It’s going to be bigger than ever, and the bracket has more new characters and women than ever before. I can’t wait to see how the voting goes down come May.

Wrath and Beth Get Another Book
When I finished Lover at Last, I immediately started speculating about which couple might be next. I was so wrong, people. J.R. Ward announced that the next book will be titled The King and revisit Wrath and Beth. I’m about to say things that might be considered spoilery if you haven’t read Lover at Last, so highlight to read: The King will focus on Wrath and Beth having a baby. So she’ll finally go into needing like she very much wants and Wrath will have to cope. Also expect that whole heir law thing from the end of Lover at Last to be an issue. Done being spoilery. If you’d like to see video of the WARDen talking about the books, she shared this video from her Saturday book signing.

Edie Spence is on a Boat!
I hope our favorite nurse to the supernatural brought her flippy-floppies. Cover for Cassie Alexander’s fourth Edie Spence book Deadshifted has been revealed and it has Edie going on vacation, or trying anyway. If you haven’t started the series, take a look at my review for Nightshifted or its sequel Moonshifted.

Edie Spence just wanted a vacation. A nice, relaxing, stress free, non-adventure away from the craziness that’s dominated her life since becoming a nurse for paranormal creatures. But from the start, her trip on the Maraschino, a cruise ship bound for Hawaii, has been anything but stress free, especially when Edie’s boyfriend Asher recognizes someone he used to know. Someone from his not-so-nice past. With their lives in the balance, will Edie and Asher be able to save their growing family or will this adventure be their end?

City of Bones Trailer
Are you a fan of Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments books? If you’re big on Shadowhunters, you’ve likely been following the movie news surrounding the City of Bones film. It’s set to release in August, and we finally have a full-length trailer. I wasn’t one who was sold on the casting of Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace. However, I’ll admit he has some badass skills in this trailer. I’m actually more excited about this film now. What about you?

Inside Gameboard of the Gods
Richelle Mead has started gearing up for the release of her new adult series by giving us insight into the first book Gameboard of the Gods, which releases in June. She’s talked about the world the book is set in and the history there. She also gave us our first peek at the a character from the book. Justin March is a man with vices, and I expect we’ll get plenty of angst and end up on a complex emotional ride with him.

True Blood Season Six is Coming
Provided you’re able to separate the television show from its source material, it’s easy to get sucked into True Blood. (Pun so intended.) I start each season in love and end thinking “what is happening here?” But I’ll be back in it for season six, and this first trailer makes me think I may enjoy it. Bill is crazypants and bloody. Eric is standing with Sookie, which could mean nothing but I’ll pretend otherwise. Alcide is around albeit with a shirt on. Pam’s hair is big. So… potential good times. Here’s the trailer for your own enjoyment.

Watched the Mortal Instruments trailer, still not sure about Jace but love Lily Collins as Clary! Watched True Blood trailer. Can’t Wait! Looks like it’s going to be crazy as usual.

Dude, that Volturi is NOT sparkling in the sunlight AND he’s kicking demon ass!

True Blood 6 – bring it on. LaFayette toting what appeared to be a double barrel sawed off? Alcide ripping his shirt? YEEEEEEES! But the problem is, the Viking IS wearing a shirt and he’s on that damned elevator. Can we get him off please? *cackles*

Oh, and have I mentioned that I was rather pissed that Jace beat Bones in the Alpha Showdown two years ago? That trailer with Jamie Campbell Bower may get me to watch the movie.

  4. I hope that Season 6 of TB is better than Season 5. I’ve actually come to like the show more than the books. LOL
