Halfway Check-In: How’s the Halfway to the Grave Re-Read Going?

logo

Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost // VBCThe VBC team is re-reading Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost in celebration of the book’s 10-year anniversary. The full details are in last week’s post. (We can wait while you catch up.)

Are you joining us on this (re-)read? We have one more week until we offer our full re-read thoughts, but we figured the halfway point was a good time to check in with everyone. (Plus, VBC’s HBIC Chelsea just really thinks the whole ‘halfway’ thing is funny and everyone else is indulging her.) VBC’s Beth is the only reviewer here who hadn’t already read the Night Huntress series. So, I’m going to spoil y’all, and tell you that she’s already way past book one at this point. This surprises no one because the Night Huntress books are pretty damn great.

As such, hit the comments with your first thoughts in starting this re-read. Have you hit any surprises—scenes you remembered differently? How happy where you the first time you saw Bones call Cat “Kitten?”

Shout-out in the comments if you’re reading along with us, and any first thoughts. Next Tuesday, we’ll dish in detail. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts, VBC crew!

I have finished re-reading Halfway to the Grave and it was just as awesome as my first time. Absolutely love Cat and Bones. They are just perfect for each other and Jeaniene Frost accomplishes a perfect mix of romance, witty characters, and vampire intrigue. Looking forward to reading it again in the near future.
