Love letter to Khalil (Thea Harrison’s Elder Races series)

I kicked myself for waiting so long to start Thea Harrison’s Elder Races series. Dragon Bound was an excellent read. The whole VBC team is on board with the series, and Candace got extra swoony for Khalil in her review of Oracle’s Moon. She’s not the only one. Courtney from Literary Escapism tapped Khalil as her book boyfriend for Character Love Letters. Who’s your favorite Elder Races hero?

Oracle's Moon by Thea HarrisonMy charming Khalil,

I first met you in Serpent’s Kiss by Thea Harrison and I was instantly captivated. You were briefly introduced but I just couldn’t wait to get to know you better. And I got my wish with Oracle’s Moon. You played with children…and enjoyed it! That was it for me. I had completely fallen for you and there was no going back.

And it wasn’t just the fact you are good with kids that attracted me…though it didn’t hurt matters at all. You were so good to Grace even when she was mean to you (and honestly if you even get tired of her or her attitude give me a call). You stayed to protect her even though you so many important things to do. You were even looking out for her when you were fighting. And just FYI, being able to hold your own in verbal combat is a big appeal.

Plus you faced off against Dragos…and let’s face it he is attractive but he is also one scary badass. The best part though? You let Grace deal with him as well! Just in case you weren’t aware the protector role is super sexy and it’s even better because you know sometimes a girl just has to fight her own battles.

But the thing that probably drew me in the most was that you turned out to be a rebel. It was such a pleasurable surprise. You were willing to give up everything just to make sure your lady love was safe. It just took my breath away. You called in all your favors. You stood up to your father. You went after some very evil and dangerous people. All to keep your chosen love and her family safe.

You are protective, stubborn and rebellious. These things alone make you downright sexy. But the fact that you have all that Djinn power wrapped up in a tall, handsome and swoon-worthy package makes you even more enticing. Really what can I say other than “Yes please!”? With all of this going for you how could I not fall in love?

Always and unconditionally yours,

Courtney
