From VBC’s Chelsea: We’ve covered the best books of 2013, but we’re ready to look forward here at VBC. There are so many wonderful reads waiting for us in 2014. To help you get excited for new books, we’re going to post our reviewers’ most anticipated 2014 books. Add your favorites in the comments. Amber is all about the big finale with these picks. (See Amy’s, Krista’s, Amanda’s and Mary’s picks.)
1. Night Broken by Patricia Briggs
I’ve been watching Mercy and Adam’s relationship grow since the beginning and so far, they’ve managed to work through anything life throws at them. I’m incredibly excited to see how Mercy handles things when Adam’s ex-wife shows up unexpectedly. With Mercy’s tricky nature, there are sure to be fireworks.
Releases March 11, 2014. Pre-Order Night Broken
2. Up From the Grave by Jeaniene Frost
Cat and Bones are another of my favorite couples. It’s been a long hard road for the pair of them and their love has been tested time and again. One of the things I love most about the series is how much trust Cat and Bones have in each other. The vampire couple has one more book on the way and I’m sure Frost has something big in store for them.
Releases Jan. 28, 2014. Pre-Order Up From the Grave.
3. Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor
Taylor’s first two books captivated me from the get-go. I’ve been dying to read the conclusion Karou’s and Akiva’s struggles, not to mention the brewing tension between Eretz and Earth. Taylor’s writing is stunning and her storytelling is top-notch. I’ve been sitting on the edge of my seat for months waiting for this book.
Releases April 8, 2014. Pre-Order Dreams of Gods & Monsters
I am DYING to get my hands on these books! Definitely some of my most anticipated. I am freaking out majorly about “Up From the Grave” & “Dreams of Gods & Monsters,” I am extremely nervous about “Night Broken” cause, NO! Christy needs to get out of here.
I’ve been waiting on these too but the one that has been KILLING me having to wait on is Black Arts, the new one in the Jane Yellowrock series by Faith Hunter. She doesn’t wait that long in between books but it seems like it’s forever because I can’t wait for the next one, each one even better than the last.
Me too!
They are in my list, too! 🙂
Desperately waiting for Black Arts by Faith Hunter!! Out January 7th, almost here!!!
I’m right with you. I have had Jan. 7th on my calendar for months. I know I am wishing my life away, however Black Arts by Faith Hunter will be well worth it
Yep, yep! How did this not make this list?
Can’t wait for Night Broken. It will be interesting to see what trouble Adam’s ex-wife tries to stir up. I’m extremely confident in Mercy and Adam’s relationship though.
I’m really desperate to get my paws on Faith Hunter’s “Black Arts”, as the characters and plot are so compelling. My fave is when Beast writes her account of what’s going down – Beast is a mountain lion and great fun!
I want Black Arts too. Faith Hunter’s Jane Yellowrock is an amazing kick ass character and the books are a great read. Not long now.
Excellent list but you completely forgot about “Black Arts” by Faith Hunter. That is the book I am most anticipating!
To all the Jane Yellowrock fans commenting. We’ll have an early review of BLACK ARTS on the blog on Monday.
Looking forward to reading it..
Can’t wait! I LOVE the Jane Yellowrock series!
There are SO many books that I’m also waiting for, but I have to say that Black Arts is at the top of my list also, Waiting impatiently for some of my other faves too, Mercy and Adam, and THE KING… love me some BDB 😀
So looking forward to the first two books on the list but I have not read the third writer. Will have to look into that series!
Also looking forward to Faith Hunter’s new book Black Arts that comes out January 7th! As well as to Kim Harrison’s new one, The Undead Pool, that comes out on my birthday in February! Happy birthday to me! So looking forward to curling up with that book that day!
Faith Hunter has a new Jane Yellowrock book coming out 1/6/14 called Black Arts. This series is absolutely awesome.
Can’t wait for Black Arts by Faith Hunter!! Out January 7th.
Counting down the days until the new Faith Hunter book “Black Arts” comes out!!!
I’m not caught up on those series, but I am eagerly anticipating Black Arts by Faith Hunter! I reviewed an ARC of it (you all will LOVE it!), but it’s always great to go to the events and get my hands on a shiny new copy!
