READ A CHAPTER OF DEAD RECKONING
Charlaine Harris posted the first chapter of the next Southern Vampire Mystery (a.k.a. the Sookie Stackhouse books) up on her website today. It’s 19 pages of Sookie, Eric, Sam and even some of the fae family members.
The 11th book in the series, titled Dead Reckoning, will be — like all Sookie books before — released in May. So, take your Sookie/Eric fix when you can get it.

Kim Harrison keeps bringing us urban fantasy goodness with her Rachel Morgan/The Hollows series. The ninth book in the series, Pale Demon, is set to release through Harper Voyager on Feb. 22, 2011. (Yep, this one is a part of our 2011 Winter Book Preview.)

MY SOUL TO STEAL HITTING STORES TOMORROW
Call it holiday magic. While the fourth Soul Screamers novel was set to release on Jan. 1, 2011, we have official word that bookstores will have it on the shelves tomorrow, Dec. 21. If you missed our review, we’ll make it simple: read this book. We’re also giving away a copy, if you think you can wait.

Can’t wait for Dead Reckoning! New Sookie releases always come right before my birthday, which is a nice “present” to get. Just finished my ARC of Pale Demon on Sunday, and oh.my.god. was it worth the wait! Best in the series so far!
