A few months back we asked for help in assembling an urban fantasy starter kit. Certain books showed up in the comments and tweets repeatedly. Well, as we’re in the middle of our Fall into (Urban) Fantasy event, it feels appropriate to award one Vampire Book Club reader with a handful of the books suggested for the UF starter kit.
One winner will take home all five books. The contest is open internationally (provided that the Book Depository ships to your country).
CONTEST DETAILS AND RULES
1. To enter, you must leave a comment on this post telling us which of the five books you most want to read.
2. You do not need to follow Vampire Book Club to be entered, but we’ll give one bonus entry to anyone who does (via Twitter, Facebook, RSS, email or GFC).
3. This contest is open internationally, provided the Book Depository ships to your country.
4. Contest closes at 11:59 p.m. CST on Monday, Sept. 12.
5. The winners will be selected using Random.org. Then each will be contacted via email and given 48 hours to claim her prize. If we do not hear from the winner(s) within that time, a new winner will be selected.
6. Entrants must be at least 18 years old or have their parent’s permission to enter. Please review our privacy policy, if you have any questions as to how Vampire Book Club uses your information. (Short version: we’ll only use it to contact you for this contest.)
7. Though unlikely, Vampire Book Club has the right to change or cancel any giveaway at any time without prior notice.
8. Vampire Book Club is not responsible for prizes lost or damage in transit.
I have to say the one book out of that group that I would really love to read is Storm Front by Jim Butcher.
My pick would be Magic to the Bone by Devon Monk.

I have wanted to read several of these for a while the one I am not curious about is Magic to the Bone by Devon Monk.
I love the Fever series and think it is one of my all time favorites if not my favorite.

I have already read Karen Marie Moning’s books and I love love love them. So I would choose Darkfever again, but I would also like to read Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison….Truthfully, I want to read them all!!!

Ohhhh, I think either the Charles de Lint book or the Devon Monk book. The book Blue Girl is one of my favorites and the other has looked interesting for a while now.
Storm Front by Jim Butcher. I have read good reviews of his books but have not yet read any myself.I have read very little UF so far.
Hard to choose among these five writers, but I’d love to read Someplace to Be Flying by Charles de Lint – I’m shocked I haven’t already!
I am interested in ALL of the books, but the one I want to read the most is Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison, in the city that I live in we have 40 libraries and only ONE of them has it, and it is, ‘missing’. I have been wanting to tear into her novels for so long. I have a big stack in front of me, but I have been wanting that book FOREVER.
