Based on the tweets I received after posting the October new release list, nearly every one of you is excited for the release of Iced by Karen Marie Moning. It makes sense. Her Fever books featuring Barrons (our first Alpha Showdown champion) and MacKayla are the most addictive I’ve read*.
I’m very much looking forward to reading Iced, but I’m also nervous about it. Will Moning’s engaging writing style get me past my distaste for Dani as the primary narrator? I delved into the details of what I expect from Iced and what I think will make it work over at Heroes & Heartbreakers. If you’re anxious for more Fever World, you’ll want to read that post.
Are there any other Fall reads that you are over-the-moon excited for? Shout them in the comments. It’s therapeutic.
*Early Black Dagger Brotherhood is a very close second, but KMM’s cliffhangers make her the winner here.
ICED would definitely be at the top of my list but also looking forward to Into the Woods by Kim Harrison and Reflected in You by Sylvia Day.
Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet!! and Fury’s Kiss (which I’m loving so far!)
I love KMM’s books, but I waited for all of fever books to be out before I delved into them. Boy, am I glad I waited! 😀 Her cliffhagers are to die for!
I’m really excited for Iced but will wait for all 3 books to be out before reading it.
My to read list for Oct.
Death’s Rival – finished and was great!
Death and the girl next door
Fury’s Kiss
Into the Woods
Black Howl
Fourth Grave beneath my feet
A trace of Moonlight
The shattered dark
Cant wait to get back in the Fever world! Also looking forward to Out for Blood by Kristen Painter!
Kim Harrison’s Into the Woods is my most anticipated fall read. I just love Rachel Morgan 🙂 but the Fever books follow closely behind. I liked Dani ok but it’s Ryodan and Cruce I look mostly forward to. Can’t wait to find out who the mysterious Dancer is.
I’m a little nervous too. I think I’ll hang back a for a few weeks after release day to see what others are saying about it before I grab my copy.
I hesitate because Dani isn’t my favorite. KMM keeps posting loud and clear that this isn’t a YA book so I am hoping for the best. I think, like Jennifer, I will hang back and see what it’s all about.
