Nalini Singh’s Dmitri’s cunning helped him take crafty assassin Gin Blanco last round, but will he be able to remove Lothaire’s heart?

Dmitri. His name rolls off your tongue dark and delicious. His tongue is extremely skilled in other matters tongues are used for. But I digress. In this ‘Alpha Showdown’ competition, he is the biggest, baddest, and most tortured of them all. He uses his deep rooted pain, to smack down the other so-called alphas with a flick of his finger.
He is 1,000 years old and the leader of Archangel Raphael’s security team, which means he is not only bad ass, but very trustworthy as well. Hey Gin Blanco – how old are you? That’s right – you just go back into that kitchen and make more pies.
He oozes sex appeal, literally. His aroma of chocolate and champagne makes every woman think lusty thoughts. He not only has brutal strength when fighting an enemy, but a brutal wickedness when seducing a lady.
“I’m fairly certain you’re not a nice man at all.”
His answer was a slow smile that whispered of silk sheets, erotic whispers, and sweat-damp skin. The unhidden intent of it had her heart slamming hard against her ribs. “No,” she said, voice raw.

Hands down Lothaire. I just purchased the 1st book in the Guild Hunter series but IAD has always been around for me. No second guessing.
Lothaire for sure! I like him so much better than Dimitri. Dimitri has no sense of humor. Lothaire is more witty and hecan do that half trace thing.
No sense of humour? I dunno about that. His humour might not be obvious, but it’s very much there.
I’m all over Paul and everything, but as for the characters, i have to go with Dmitri!! He was one of my 3 nominees and i almost love him as much as i love Raphael, so yeah. Dmitri FTW!
I love both these vamps, but Dmitri is the bigger Alpha. Lothaire has a lot going for him no doubt, but he’s still no Dmitri. Dmitri is the right hand man of one of the most powerful Archangels. Other Angels & Vampires respect/fear him. He is sexy, has a very dry sense of humor, plus the man can fight like no one’s business. Dmitri does not need to call in debts/favors from others like Lothaire, he commands & it is done…

I was not a huge fan of Dimitri before reading Archangle’s Blade but DAMN was that book smoking hot so sorry Lothaire…Dimitri gets my vote.

This was a horrible decision to make. I’ve read all of Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunter series and love Dimitri. He is one tough, old vampire. On the other hand, I only bothered to read the first two books of IAD because it just wasn’t working for me. That is, until Lothaire’s story came out. I had to read his book. The fact I skipped over so many in the series and still sucked up every moment of him on the pages says a lot. He is truly a top Alpha, and though I might be more dedicated to the Guild Hunter series, I’m positive Lothaire could beat Dimitri in a fight. To the “Enemy of Old”!

They are entirely seperate entities with entirely seperate pros and cons but since I am going for utter hotness and pimp slapp abilities… my choice is Lothaire. Dmitri is a fine vampire but the Enemy of Old has more depth and more craziness to his character. Plus I dig the nucking futs characters of Cole.

Nice that they mentioned Dmitri’s age but not Lothaire’s. Lemme give you a hint. More than 2000. These immortals grow stronger with age. And smarter with experience. And for Christ’s sake, what can beat the intelligence and cunning of Lothaire? He laughs under torture and yawns with boredom at an apocalypse! Plus he’s got “insight”, meaning he’s so helplessly genius that while he may not have foresight (isn’t able to see actions), he can easily predict reactions.
And let the ladies talk about his sex appeal.
