The Stone Demon by Karen Mahoney (Iron Witch #3)

If you’re joining us in this month’s group read of Jeaniene Frost’s Once Burned, we’re posting weekly discussion topics over on our Goodreads group. It’s free to join and we’re already talking Vlad as a hero and all things Leila. Hope you’ll join in.

Cover Art Explosion: Karen Mahoney, Yasmine Galenorn, Andrea Cremer, Ilona Andrews
So very pleased to see another pretty cover for Karen Mahoney. The Stone Demon is the final in her Iron Witch trilogy and is set to release on April 8, 2013. Also, it’s supposed to be dark and this cover fully makes me wonder where Donna’s going to head this time out.

Yasmine Galenorn has shared the cover art for her next Otherworld book, Haunted Moon. She loves the cover, do you? The color combination gets a thumbs up from VBC. The book releases January 29, 2013.

Are you ready for more Andrea Cremer? Her new series kicks off in August with Rift, but we already spotted the cover art for book two, Rise, online. Thoughts?

If you’re ready for more from the Fate series by Ilona Andrews, well, you’ll have to wait. But at least we can link you over to view the cover of Steel’s Edge. That’s something, right?

Live Chat with Jeaniene Frost
Goodreads will be hosting a live chat with author Jeaniene Frost on Monday, July 16, at 5 p.m. EST. The topic is this month’s group read, Once Burned. This is your chance to ask Jeaniene questions. The chat will happen live via this link, but you can post questions for Jeaniene now.

Juliana Stone Goes YA
Yes, romance author Juliana Stone is trying her hand at YA under the pen name Julie Blackstone …and it looks good. The book is called Ravyn’s Fall and here’s the teaser copy:

Falling in love shouldn’t be dangerous…
Sixteen year old Ravyn Creed has always known she was different.  But even she doesn’t know the secrets of her birth… secrets that should have remained hidden.  Secrets that can kill her.

On a night meant for fun—for music and dancing and boys—darkness enters her world and nothing will be the same again. With both Heaven and Hell after her, will the mysterious Zeke Lancaster be the one to save her?  Or will she find the strength to save herself…

If you want more, Juliana has posted an excerpt up over at Supernatural Underground.

Book Show! Book Show! with Mark Henry
Sure, I like to recommend books, but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy hearing others do the same. Mark Henry has good taste and too much snark for his own good. Something tells me VBC readers will enjoy this book recommendations in this edition of Book Show Book Show.
