Cover Reveals from Amanda Carlson, Delilah S. Dawson and Katie Reus
We’re just a few weeks from the release of Amanda Carlson’s debut Full Blooded hitting shelves (you can win a copy), but we’re already getting a look at the cover art for Hot Blooded, the second book in her urban fantasy series. The second book releases April 2013.
Delilah S. Dawson shared the cover for her next Blud book, Wicked As She Wants. The guy on the cover has a bit of a rake or pirate vibe. Thoughts? The book is set for release on Aug. 30, 2013.
I like the cover art for Katie Reus’s Mating Instinct, as I feel like we don’t get enough non-holiday books with white covers. The book releases March 2013.
Tease from Rogue Rider
Is anyone surprised Larissa Ione is a tease? I didn’t think so, but we love it about her. She posted this snippet from the forthcoming Rogue Rider on her Facebook Page.
“Did you see any demons?”
A chill slithered up Jillian’s spine at the memory she could never get away from no matter how deeply she buried herself in the forest. “Too many.”
Reseph’s hand snapped out to snare her wrist. “Is that why you live out here in the middle of nowhere? So the demons won’t find you?”
Jesus. Had he seen through her so easily? Very deliberately, she peeling his fingers off her arm.
“I have to check on the animals.” She practically ran to the door and shoved her feet in her boots. As much as she hated the night, she hated the subject more.
“Jillian.” Reseph’s soft but commanding tone froze her as she reached for the door knob. “It’s weird, isn’t it, how I don’t remember anything, and you remember too much.”
“I think,” she said quietly, “that maybe you got the better end of the deal.”
Read the first chapter of The Indigo Spell
Sure, some copies of Richelle Mead’s The Golden Lily (VBC review) featured the first chapter of The Indigo Spell. Mine did not. This means I’m extremely happy that the first chapter is now posted on Richelle’s site for reading pleasure. So very excited for this book. And, should you need more teasers, she’s also posted six quotes from forthcoming books. Yep.
Abby Sinclair and a Photo Booth
At Authors After Dark, Allison Pang handed out some great cards with artwork depicting what would happen if Talivar and Abby from her Abby Sinclair series were hitting a photo booth. It’s pretty fantastic and may include a photobombing Phin. See the artwork on her blog and get your Thursday smile.
