Contest Roundup: City of Bones, Strange Angels and more

Great book giveaways this week and a chance at giftcards, too. We also realized we should be planning for our own 500 follower giveaway. So, readers, encourage your friends to follow because we’re putting a prize pack together for when we hit 500 via Google Friend Connect (the “join this site” button makes it happen, folks). On to giveaway goodness:

• We were super excited to see that Hanging with Bells is giving away this month’s group read City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. The contest is open internationally. Just be sure to enter by Sept. 20. Get the details and enter here.

• The Paperback Dolls are at it again. In celebration of having 600 followers, the ladies are giving away a handful of signed books including Heart & Soul by Shiloh Walker, Cat’s Claw by Amber Benson, Strange Angels by Lili St. Crow and Magic to the Bone by Devon Monk along with other non-signed goodness. You have to be a follower of their blog to enter, but it’s open internationally. Make sure to fill out their entry form by Sept. 25.

• You’ll want to enter Reading Teen’s Back to School Giveaway. They have a bunch of advance reader copies of great new books — some titles that haven’t been released yet — up for grabs including Nightshade by Andrea Cremer, Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, Hunger by Jackie Morse Kessler, Immortal Beloved by Cate Tiernan and several more. The contest is open internationally, but you must enter by Sept. 24.

• We’re interested in reading Low Red Moon by Ivy Devlin, which comes out this month. Just our luck, A Life Bound by Books has a review, interview and giveaway from the author. Scroll to the very end of the Bound by Books blog post for the giveaway. Open to U.S. residents only and entry must be received by Sept. 28.

• For What It’s Worth is celebrating 500 followers with a giveaway, of course. (We should be planning, we know.) Five FWIW blog followers will win $10 gift cards to either Amazon or The Book Depository. Open internationally, but you must enter by Sept. 19.

• This week The Qwillery is giving away I Am Legend by Richard Matheson. Entry is simple and is open internationally. You have until Sept. 22 to enter. (And yes, this is the book the movie with Will Smith was based on.)

• Love Reading X has a cover redesign contest happening right now for UK residents only. The three books up for grabs are Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, The Thirteenth Crime by Emma Michaels and 13 to Life by Shannon Delany. Entries must be received by Sept. 20.
