Cover Reveal & Giveaway: Lion’s Share by Rachel Vincent

Many of the VBC staff were big fans of Rachel Vincent’s Shifters series. It was New Adult before that term existed. Angsty shifters are pretty great. (We haven’t ever reviewed those books here, but maybe we should. Hit the comments if you want to have us to a re-read or reviews of the Shifters books.)

Well, after what was probably a lot of online begging, Rachel’s decided to give us more from this world with a spin-off series. The new series is called Wildcats, and this time it’s officially dubbed New Adult. The first book is Lion’s Share, which is releasing in a few short weeks on Feb. 23 (pre-order it), and we have the cover.

Lion's Share by Rachel Vincent Abby Wade has a dangerous secret.

Two months ago, she disobeyed an order, but instead of kicking her out of the Pride, Jace offered her a job. Since then, she’s been battling a completely inappropriate crush on the young, hot Alpha. But when accepting his job offer seems like the only way to keep her skeletons safely in their closet, Abby doesn’t hesitate.

Jace Hammond has a big problem.

A rogue is slaughtering humans in his territory, and he must eliminate the threat before the entire shifter species is exposed. There could not be a worse time for Abby to accept a job he only offered as a boost to her confidence. Abby is smart, beautiful, and resilient—more than enough to distract any man from the mission. Unfortunately, she may just be the worst enforcer ever to hold the title.

As they hunt the killer, Abby’s secret becomes a threat to Jace’s authority and to her own life. But the real danger is the grip she has on his twice-shy heart.

I was so excited when I learned Rachel Vincent was doing a spin-off series! Already pre-ordered Lion’s Share. Her short story called “Hunt” is a good lead-in to Lion’s Share.

The Shifter series is my most re-read series (I LOVE IT). I go back to it all the time. I would love to have the books reviewed here. Without spoilers, if you read the series you know which book I refer to when I say this was the first time a book made me cry big fat ugly tears.

I read the series a long time ago and was one of the many trying to persuade Rachel Vincent to pick up the series again. You should review the books to, maybe, bring more fans to this great series and to increase the excitement for the new Wildcats spin-off series!
