In Stephenie Meyer’s latest foray into the Twilight world, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, we get a glimpse into the world of the newborn vampires we read about in Eclipse. This novella, which comes in at 192 pages, is from the point-of-view of the young girl who accepts the Cullens’ offer of a choice at the end of the third installment in The Twilight Saga.
From the previews for the upcoming Eclipse movie, we know director David Slade is going to give us a look at just what Victoria is doing with her newborn army and some insight we couldn’t have garnered from the original novel. Chances are this supplemental book will give us a better idea of what to expect.

Plus, really, it gives you another option than re-reading the novels again before the June 30 film premiere.
The extra nice thing about the Bree Tanner novella? You can get it for free online. Bookstores will be carrying it as well, but if you don’t need the hardback to complete a set, just surf on over to BreeTanner.com on June 5 to read the book for free.
Also, next Tuesday the Eclipse soundtrack will hit shelves, and those who love indie rock will want to pick it up. Muse, The Dead Weather, Beck and more make it utterly enticing to the hip.
Great post, good work. Reading this post reminds me of my recent employer! He constantly kept talking about this. I will forward this article to him. Pretty sure he will have a delightful read. Thanks for posting!
