I’m thrilled to be here at Vampire Book Club today, and to have the chance to tell readers about Sins of the Angels (get a copy at Book Depository or Amazon). I thought I would take the opportunity to give everyone a chance to get to know one of my characters a little bit, but rather than introduce you to the standard hero/heroine, I decided it would be fun to profile the bad guy for a change. So here’s a partial character sketch of Caim, Fallen Angel, serial-killer, and all-round stuff of nightmares:
Name: Caim
Age: 10 million years, give or take
Height: 6 feet
Weight: 200 lbs in full-flesh form; significantly less in demon form
Hair Color: Dark
Eye Color: Gray, changing to black in demon form
Build: Muscular in full-flesh form; withered in demon form
Occupation: Formerly a Power of the Sixth Choir, now a Fallen Angel
Pastimes: None. Entirely focused on finding the one mortal soul he needs to return to Heaven
Family: Parents long since forgotten as insignificant. One sibling, a brother
Significant Other: One who no longer remembers him as her soulmate but whom he has never forgotten.
What he most regrets: Allowing Lucifer’s promises of a better life to lure him away from Heaven and the One’s side
What he most wants: to return to Heaven, if only to be cleansed of the memories of his soulmate
What he most hates: Aramael, the brother who betrayed him and exiled him to Limbo
What he will never do: Return to either Hell or Limbo—Hell, because he has long since given up on Lucifer’s leadership; Limbo, because he cannot survive another moment of the sheer nothingness there.
What he finds most irritating: The human race.
What makes him laugh: He has no ability to feel humor
What he’s most grateful for: His escape from Limbo—and the Heavenly traitor who arranged it.
Linda and her publisher Ace have been kind enough to offer up two copies of Sins of the Angels to VBC readers. To enter, fill out the Rafflecopter form below. The contest is open to U.S. and Canadian addresses only, and you’ll need to enter on or before Nov. 3.
Awesome giveaway and excerpt 🙂 It’s always nice to get a variety! I kind of find it interesting that he doesn’t like “humans” but I’m assuming him finding his soulmate/getting back into heaven.. well his soulmate is probably a human right? 😉 I’m curious as to why he despises them 😛
Lol, Chelsea…sorry, but you’d be wrong in that assumption. 😉 All is explained in the book, however, I promise! 🙂
I love reading books about angels. I can’t wait to read this series. Tore923@aol.com
