In the second installment of Julie Kagawa’s Iron Fey series, The Iron Daughter, Meghan Chase finds herself pulled between the Seelie and Unseelie courts. Her father reigns over the summer court, while the boy she loves Prince Ash is a winter court royal. Add in the additional complications of war, a potential second love interest from the Seelie side and, you know, trying to save the world, and we’d be over the whole divisions, too.
We adore this series. The tension and love angle we saw in The Iron King (review) gets ramped up in the second installment, which was released today. We’ve had a chance to read The Iron Daughter and we know you’re going to want to read it. (Read our The Iron Daughter review.) Because we love helping our readers get fantastic books in their hands, we’re doing a giveaway.
Not just any giveaway. This one’s a two-parter. We want to you to pick a side: Seelie or Unseelie. We have two copies of The Iron Daughter and two necklace/earring sets – one of each for our summer and winter court winners, respectively.

For me it’s tough to choose between the two but if I had to I would choose the Seelie because I prefer the light and sun. This makes for more positive feelings too. Thanks for the fabulous giveaway!

I’m both because while I love it when things are growing, beautiful, and green. I equally love winter. Oh, and I like both Puck and Ash equally as well.
I have to pick Seelie for this one. All about the (okay, sometimes superficial) beauty. And I have to say I just really like the Seelie graphic.
I’m probably gonna go with Unseelie on this one. I think my personality matches the Winter Court better, although I’m not like..mean or anything, lol. But I’m more of a winter person.
Rachel — I know the general picture of Unseelie is mean, after all: redcaps, but there are some wicked creatures on the Seelie side, too. Plus, Prince Ash.
I dont know which one to choose. Because i havent had the books to read them yet. So i would love either one.
Thanks for the contest,
Seelie! I do not like the cold! 🙂
I chose both because they both have their advantages and disadvantages, I think I would wait for them to choose me muahhaha. 😉

I would definitely pick the Seelie Court, no contest. I’d be near Puck (who’s my favorite character of all time) not to mention I would not want to live in the perceptual cold. Besides, who really wants to live in a winter wasteland? Not me!
I would ultimately choose the Unseelie Court because of Ash. I think the Unseelie court would be a lot more interesting too….
I pick Unseelie for Ash! If it wasn’t for him I would Seelie because I love summer. Besides Ash, Grim has half my heart!
Cant decide.I pick both courts, their are amazing! But if I relly had to choose it would be Unseelie. They know how to partay :). Thanks for the AWESOME giveaway!
Unseelie. The darkness and danger are appealing in their own way.
I would have a hard time picking… do I have to choose?!?
I entered for both, but I think I would be part of the Summer Court. Mostly because I can’t stand the cold
Unseelie … because I would rather be a honest dreadful creature than a decieving beautiful one.
Definitely Seelie, I love summer and the heat so much, and just how green summer is. I can’t stand the cold!
I hate the cold (though I love Mab–what a kick-ass characters!) so I guess I’m more Seelie than Unseelie.
I would like the Unseelie Court. I think they are more spontaneous and dangerous. I also love the dark. My husband calls me a vamp all the time because I would rather have it dark than light. I think both courts are beautiful, but absolutley Unseelie for me.
I pick Unseelie because I love the dark

I prefer warm to cold. And light to darkness. I would choose Seelie.
I choose the Unseelie court because both courts are very dangerous. The Seelie just hide it better. The Unseelie are not afraid to show what they really are. And the bad guys are always hotter:)
I could be either, there’s beauty (and hot guys) in both. More than likely I’d be Iron Fey because I love my technology! The saddest part of the series so far was when the iPod died, I felt her pain! *jokes*
I choose the Unseelie court because I like being on the edge, the wierd is what facinates me. Plus I hate being hot, and have always prefered winter
I guess they both have their appeals. But, I’m going with Unseelie! What can I say, I have a weakness for bad boys.
I choose both, because they both have thier beauty and I appreciate both! 🙂
I choose both, because each of them has its own charm and good points. I like both Puck and Ash’s characters. They both love Meghan, but they express their love in different ways.
I choose the Unseelie Court because I’m a January baby. I love the cold and it would fit me best.
I would pick the Unseelie. I love being cold!
I chose the Seelie Court.I like the light of day and of good

I choose both, because I love winter and snow but I also love summer and the refreshing heat!
I found an ebook, Winter’s Passage is about Meghan and Ash journey to Winter Court. Have any of you read it?; should it be read before Iron Daughter or it doesn’t matter? Hate to spoil the 2 book before staring to read it. And it’s by Julie Kagawa.
Winter’s Passage is a novella bridging the gap between The Iron King and The Iron Daughter. It isn’t necessary to read before moving on to The Iron Daughter, and will not spoil anything for you. It’s just a supplemental piece that covers Meghan’s journey to the Unseelie Court with Ash. Very quick read.
I will pick the Unseelie court. I’m more of a winter person.
I will pick the Unseelie Court because of others books. I didnt read The Iron King, but now I am really tempted to try it. I will buy it as soon as possible. *o*
I am *SO* a member of the Seelie Court. Summa-Summa time 😀
I really dont think I could pick between the two. Both have their own set of advantages and disadvantages. Currently I am leaning more towards Seelie and the light but that could totally change depending on what I read next.
Unseelie, because I’m a winter person.. And maybe ash has something to do with my choice too 😉
I would have to say the seelie court – I am a flip flop person. 😉
Seelie…winter is too flippin’ cold for me. Plus no one can see my pretty outfits under my coat and boots.
Unseelie court for me. The summer heat makes me wilt. lol
Unseelie — nothing more beautiful than the snow
I like both Seelie and Unseelie because both summer and winter have their advantages. There are disadvantages in both seasons but I always finding myself wishing it was summer during winter and vice versa. Thanks for the giveaway!
For me, I love the winter time! It the perfect tim eof year just to grab a book and some tea 🙂 Plus I’d hate to decieving 😛

I honestly couldn’t decide, so I went with both. But I guess I’m more unseelie, I like the winter time more than spring and summer. Winter and fall are my fave times of year.
I am so on pins-and-needles to read The Iron Daughter! I’m a total Seelie girl — sunshine and all that — but there’s nothing wrong with crushing on an Unseelie courtier now and then, right?! 😉
Thank you for the giveaway!
