Waiting on Wednesday: Tyger Tyger by Kersten Hamilton

The description for the first book in Kersten Hamilton’s Goblin Wars series, Tyger Tyger, makes us think of David Bowie*, but we swear that isn’t the reason we’re looking forward to reading the book. (It wasn’t the William Blake reference in the title either.)

Sometimes you just need an epic escape, and — while it sounds like things will be rough for the heroine — our gut says with its goblins, quirky BFF and handsome new guy will provide us just that.

The book doesn’t come out until Nov. 15, 2010, but we’ll tell you now a review is forthcoming.

Will you add Tyger Tyger to your TBR? Read the synopsis and let us know your thoughts.

Tyger Tyger by Kersten HamiltonTeagan Wylltson’s best friend, Abby, dreams that horrifying creatures–goblins, shape-shifters, and beings of unearthly beauty but terrible cruelty–are hunting Teagan. Abby is always coming up with crazy stuff, though, so Teagan isn’t worried. Her life isn’t in danger. In fact, it’s perfect. She’s on track for a college scholarship. She has a great job. She’s focused on school, work, and her future. No boys, no heartaches, no problems.

Until Finn Mac Cumhaill arrives. Finn’s a bit on the unearthly beautiful side himself. He has a killer accent and a knee-weakening smile. And either he’s crazy or he’s been haunting Abby’s dreams, because he’s talking about goblins, too . . . and about being The Mac Cumhaill, born to fight all goblin-kind. Finn knows a thing or two about fighting. Which is a very good thing, because this time, Abby’s right. The goblins are coming.

*There are lots of good reasons to think about David Bowie, but in this case, we’re talking about the film where he played a goblin king.
