Update: Wow! Both the Grimlets and BDB fans came out in force this time, but only one character can continue. Reyes Farrow won this match!
We’ve finally made it through the first tier of Alpha Showdown battles. They were wicked, weren’t they? Well, I can’t say it gets easier from here on out.
Today we pit the Son of Satan again the King of Vampires.
Which one advances in the Showdown is up to you!
We’ve lined up great bloggers to explain why each alpha deserves to advance. Read the pitches, and then make the call.

These are just a few of the virtues I want in my Alpha, how about you? Rey’aziel—Reyes for short—embodies every single magnificent quality I’ve ever dreamed of!! His name means the Beautiful One—and he most definitely is—but gorgeous doesn’t begin to describe him.
Lethal, brilliantly intelligent, and practically invincible, General Reyes Farrow has led the armies of hell into countless battles, spreading chaos and doom. After all, when you’re the Son of Satan, Daddy has certain expectations. But Reyes—formidable on the battlefield and legendary in the boudoir—gives it all up for love—and proves that a true Alpha forges his own path.
Reyes has both earthly and unearthly bodies—just imagine the power this engenders, and the possibilities! He’s frighteningly and deliciously dangerous, wickedly playful, and sexy as sin—the complete package in every way. With equal ease, he severs enemy spines and enthralls legions of women, compelled by his intense animal magnetism and raw sexuality. Yet he has eyes for only one, who enamors his heart and soul—and is hell bent on resisting his charms. With brute force and timeless patience he protects her, with gentle persistence he woos her, at great cost he offers to share a mortal lifetime with her. And, luckily for us, to guard heaven and completely block all his Daddy’s big plans for destroying mankind.
When it comes to love, Reyes is a man of few words, but oh, what words. They aim straight for the heart to ignite a firestorm of lust. He is not above using his drop-dead gorgeous looks and every other weapon in his seductive arsenal to convey the depths of his desire and devotion. Ultimately, though, actions speak louder than words, and his now are as noble as they once were deadly.
For love, he escapes the clutches of Hades and renounces his incorporeal body. He endures prison and torture to save those who cannot protect themselves. He dedicates everything to protecting the woman he loves—the essential key in the battle between heaven and hell, as it turns out. When things heat up, he moves heaven and earth to get an apartment next door, repelling the forces of darkness while charming her with rakish smiles and sticky note invitations to come on over any time. *swoons dreamily* Now that is just sweet and badass at the same time!
But hold on, there’s more! His sexual prowess is phenomenal. Remember the incorporeal/corporeal bodies? He can be in two places at once: sharing steamy shower sex from a coma, seducing through dreams while you sleep! There’s no hiding from this master virtuoso.
Did I mention that he cooks? Loves to read all sorts of books? What more could you possibly want in a tall-dark-and-handsome hero?
Reyes Farrow, exalted prince of the underworld, abandoned hell to champion the other team. To preserve paradise, spend his life with the girl of his dreams—and ultimately save Mankind! A true hero in my book—and the number ONE Alpha, hands down!

You know that saying, ‘I could take you out blindfolded’, well, in Wrath’s case that isn’t just an egotistical boast. It’s a fact of life, Wrath is known as the Blind King for good reason. But don’t let his lack of sight fool you, not unless you want to end up with your throat torn out or a fatal case of, ‘Holy Shit, is that a dagger sticking out my heart?’ The King is fierce.
So you want an alpha? Well Wrath is over six and a half feet, black-haired, muscle bound killer ready to just steamroll you and take that title and whatever else the fuck he wants. You can throw anyone at Wrath, they will just bounce back off bloody and limping…if they aren’t shredded to pieces around his big ass shitkickers.
Lets face it guys, the Blind King ain’t just an alpha, he is THE alpha and the King of a whole race, including a badass group of muthas who bow to no one but him. As for Wrath he bows to no one.
WINNER – REYES

REYES
I love Wrath much better than Reyes……
Reyes hands down, up, … well all over actually 3:)
This one is… apples and oranges. I picked Reyes simply because of the ink. Honestly. Oh, and the ability to sever spines while invisible. Seems like a good skill to have.
Wrath 100% he is one bad ass!
Was so hard to decide between a Brother/King & the son of satan. I did however decide to vote for the son of satan.
Wrath, Beth’s Hellren….true?
Reyes, Wrath is great, but Reyes for me!
Wrath…he has more to lose and much more to fight for…loving Hellren and baby Wrath…
This is a super hard choice but I gotta go with Reyes!
Yep, got to go with Reyes.
Wrath hands down!!

I never cared for the JR Ward books so Reyes it is!

You’re killing me- worst one yet. I LOVE Reyes, but Wrath is sooooooo great!
Wrath for sure!
Gotta go with Wrath- son of Wrath… allthe way 🙂
Wrath is the King!! All the way!
Love them both but I voted for Wrath!
Reyes hands down, he makes me tingly.
Reyes! I think Wrath let his subjects fall out of control just because he did not want to be king.
Reyes!!!!!
Well…I haven’t read Jones’ series yet, so it’s Wrath for me! (But I’m going to soon!)
Reyes
reyes 😉
Wrath of course! If the book trailer is anything to go by the other guy is nice looking but kind of …er skinny for my taste!
Wrath he’s the MAN!
REYES FARROW!!
Wrath!!!!
Also, is there a reason why Reyes is against two different Black Dagger Brothers? Because he apparently already beat Zsadist, which already made me really depressed.
I have not read any of Darynda Jones books yet….on my ever growing TBR list
REYES!!!!!! Wrath is amazing but I can’t deny the son of satan!! Love him
Reyes definitely wins over Wrath.
Reyes Of Course!!
OMG!! Such a hard choice!! I’m love them both but leaning towards Reyes.
