We’ve narrowed the field to 16 ass-kicking men and women (supernatural and human alike), and now it’s in your hands. Each day we’ll post a new battle — with some of our favorite bloggers championing for those alphas in the running — and then leave it up to you, readers, to vote for the winner. Each poll is open for only 48 hours. Then, the champion will advance to the next round until only one alpha remains. (Jump to the poll)
Championing for Wrath: Michelle from bookchelle
This king stands at over six feet tall, weighing in at close to 300 pounds of solid, sexy muscle, which screams intimidation in just size and stature alone. His blindness is not a handicap, but instead has molded him to become quick and efficient with his powers.
Wrath definitely has some serious tactical training and enough attitude to take down the Lessening Society. When Wrath isn’t fulfilling his duties on the throne or protecting the vampire society alongside his brothers, he is lovingly caring for his queen. He is willing to do what is fair and right as a king, doing everything out of love for his brothers and the woman he loves most.
Is it really fair to put a hero with those looks under so much leather? Well good thing he can strip you down in a blink of an eye, because when you’re in the same room as him, I’m sure you wouldn’t want to keep your clothes on either. He is the alpha to rule them all. Why? Because even though he can be a vicious m-fer, you know that in the moment you read what he could do to fulfill Beth’s desires, you fell in love with him and wished it were you instead.
Championing for Bones: Mandi from Smexy Books
Is this even a fair battle? First of all, hello – Wrath is the Blind King. Oh yeah, he took out Payne but compared to Bones, he doesn’t stand a chance. Bones will be able to hear Wrath’s every decision before he can put it into action. Then, by the time Wrath deals his first strike, Bones will be up in the air with those fierce green eyes ready to kick some king booty!
Wrath may be down with the slang talk but Bones, in his very smexy British accent will say “Lucifer’s bouncing balls” and go on full attack. Bones won’t only dominate Wrath physically, but his snarky remarks will make it very entertaining as well. And let’s not forget – Wrath never had a chapter 32 like Bones did. What does that have to do with a battle against Wrath? Stamina.
Come back tomorrow to place your votes in the battle between Cat from Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress series and Faythe from Rachel Vincent’s Shifters series. You can see the full bracket, and keep updated on which polls are open by visiting the Alpha Showdown page.
And just between us, there will be some hot giveaways coming in the next two weeks. So, keep an eye open.
