Deadlocked by Charlaine Harris // VBC ReviewI’ve had a higher-than-usual number of book recommendation requests on the VBC Facebook page and via Twitter of late. While I can, of course, just point you to the recommendations section, I decided to take a look at the most popular reviews here at VBC.     But you lost me at the last two Sookie books. While I finished Dead Reckoning, Deadlock was a DNF for me only after 3 chapters. IMO the series should have ended a book or two ago. I hate to say that since I’ve really enjoyed the series but I’m over Sookie and just don’t care anymore.

    • That’s similar to my feeling about them, too. I wouldn’t go so far as to say I’m done with them. I’ll ride it out to the last book, but if you see the reviews they’re not bad, but they aren’t the same as, say, Dead to the World.

    I would love to see an early review of Twice Tempted by Jeaniene Frost. I have it preordered because I love all things Jeaniene 🙂 But any little tidbit of the book to torment me until March would be welcome!
