We loved Nightshade. It’s an immensely romantic tale with strong women, love interests worthy of your attention and scorching prose. As if our review didn’t convince you we loved it, we also added the young adult paranormal novel to our best books of 2010 list.
We met Andrea Cremer down at the Texas Book Festival, and she was kind enough to sign a copy of Nightshade for one lucky Vampire Book Club reader.
As Nightshade has a unique love triangle — both guys are, well, good options — readers will always have different takes on which one is right for Calla. I’ve been dying to get my hands on a copy of this book for AGES!!
Anyway, I can’t pick one favorite, I have a few. But my tops ones are Ash from The Iron Fey Series, Jay from The Body Finder, Will from Clockwork Angel, Patch from Hush, Hush, Derek from Darkest Powers series, Archer from the Hex Hall series, Aden and Riley from the Intertwined series, Shane from the Morganville series…I could go on and on. (I’m a big reader, if you couldn’t tell).
Oh gosh this is hard! Umm… I’m totally in love with Tod from the Soul Screamers series and Will from The Ghost and the Goth.

Oh my goodness, you hit it right on the head when you mentioned Dimitri and Prince Ash. I am absolutely in love with both of them! I just recently added to my literary crush list Jace, from the Mortal Instruments series.
This is a tough one! I think my original “book crush”m back from when I was about 12, was Adam from LJ Smith’s The Secret Circle series. He was so dreamy!

My favorite is actually Simon from the Mortal Instruments series. I know everyone loves Jace but he is so moody and arrogant. Simon is sweet and funny and cares more about Clary than himself (unlike Jace).

I just finished I’ll be there by Holly Goldberg Sloan totally in love with Sam. He is drop-dead-then-bring-you-back-to-live-gorgeous like Jace (well in my head anyway) but minus the ego (perfect no?) I also love Virgil from Revolution.

Sadly, I don’t find the heroes of YA very amazing usually. I guess Dmitri is okay. I think the heroines are usually a thousand times more interesting.

This is so difficult, there are so many. I think I’ll go with Grace and Sam from Maggie Stiefvater’s Wolves of Mercy Falls series (Shiver,Linger, and Forever).

Well for a “popular” vote, I adore Bones from Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress series.
For a lesser known guy–possibly–I love Nathanial from Kalayna Price’s Haven series. He’s one mysterious vamp and I love him!

Definitely Ash from The Iron Fey Chronicles.
And for a classic or two I totally loved Aubrey from Demon in My View by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. Read that back in 01 and loved him! He was a bad boy just like Damon. Oooh Damon!! I love him too.
I also kind of liked Jarrod from Marianne Curley’s Old Magic too.

This is hard to decide. So lets see. Ash from The Iron Fey (at least so far), Dimitri from VA, Stark from HoN, Emmett from Twilight, Jace from TMI, Jem from CA, Damon in Vampire Diaries, Cam in Fallen Series, and Patch in Hush, Hush. Trust me that is not all of them but those are the ones that I fight with all the time.
