The VBC team likes a good fairy tale retelling, but what we like even more is when they go totally fresh and plenty dark. Naturally, we were big into Christina Henry’s Alice. The sequel Lost Boy made our 2017 Most Anticipated List for a reason.
Late VBC reviewer Amanda adored this book, and recommended it to practically ever person she met. Here’s a rather convincing snippet from her review of Alice:
This ain’t your mother’s Alice in Wonderland. The characters populating Henry’s Alice bear some resemblance to their namesakes, but it’s all done with a clever, clever hand. Cheshire is charming and tricky, much like the cat we’re used to, and Rabbit…like, whoa. Sadistic. Cruel. That’s Rabbit.
We have one copy of Alice for a lucky VBC reader. Updated to add: Christina Henry is adding a signed bookmark to the prize! Standard rules apply: Use the Rafflecopter form below to enter. Contest is open internationally.
